As a biologist, I think it's important to be well-read. Staying abreast of new research and having a strong foundational knowledge are essential in this ever-evolving field. It's also important to understand the history of the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation and the people that influenced wildlife management and ecological legislation in our country. Note that these books are not listed in any particular order—special thanks to Dr. Randy Simpson and Dr. Clay Green for their suggestions.
